Minnesota!

We had such a great time visiting everyone - wish we could see them all more often! We left feeling very spoiled...from pedicures to delicious meals, beautiful gifts for our sweet girl, and gracious hospitality...such a wonderful weekend. As I go through my pictures of our trip, I can't believe I don't have one with Annie, Jen & Julie! Agh. We were having too much fun for pictures I guess. :) Hope we can visit again soon!

Driving up to MN....

The drive was long...over 20 hours BUT it went surprisingly well and we enjoyed spending the night in Lexington, KY where Sophia got to meet her Auntie Mary Jo & Uncle Larry! Catching up with cousins was great too. Sophia ran through the sprinkler, picked beans from their garden, and got some energy out running around the yard.

Thank goodness we had Popeye with us! He was so willing to serve in whatever way was most helpful....as driver, entertainer of 'rosebud' in the back seat, etc! Thank you SO MUCH Dad for coming with us! I don't think we would have made it without you!

The TeachBeyond training was held at Bethel University so we stayed in dorms. It was wonderful because they arranged for families with young children to have entire suites so we had a separate (adjoining room) for Sophia to sleep in as well as our own bathroom/shower. She slept so well - better than at home! Prayers answered!

More Beach pics

So good to have Chris with us for a few days too!! 3rd year medical student...so proud of all his hard work! glad he is still his funny self and was able to relax and have fun during this short break!

Sophia went into withdrawal missing Molly, Annie, and Owen after being with them all week! She loves her cousins!! Here she is giving Mol kisses while they cuddle together in the chair.

Adams Beach Trip

So far our summer has been a whirlwind! We had a blast going to the beach with the Adams' clan (although Katie, John, Luca, and Juliette were VERY missed!) and then drove (yes, you read that right!) to Minnesota for our Teach Beyond missions' candidate orientation week. It was awesome! I can't wait to share more about it. We also got to spend some time with extended Adams family during our visit in MN....Sophia met her great-grandparents and lots of great aunties and cousins. She warmed up to them all so quickly - she knew she was in good company when she was being fed gorgeous strawberries, homemade blueberry muffins, and yummy spaghetti & meatballs!

For now....here are the beach trip pictures....the rest are coming! :) We only have 5 days until we are packing back up, loading the car, and heading to FL for 9 days with Eric's extended family. Whew. Summer is so fun/ busy and we love that our girl has decided she does indeed love to travel! Hallelujah - we knew she would come around one day!
