Grandma Bev

It's hard to believe it has been two weeks since my sweet Grandma Bev went to heaven to be with the Lord. I will remember her for many things, but what sticks out the most was her love for cooking, sharing time with family, and generous heart for buying special gifts for her grandchildren & great-grandchildren. She made each of our kids (even baby boy who hasn't come yet!) special fleece blankets that I will treasure always and so many cute outfits that will go in their keepsake box to save for their own children one day. I wish we had been able to visit MN more often, but am so thankful Sophia got to meet Grandma Bev this past summer - she bonded with Grandma & Grandpa so quickly! She loved being at their house, eating a BIG spaghetti & meatball dinner (Grandma's specialty!) and playing with her dolly that Grandma picked out for her.

Sophia and I spent last week up in MN for the funeral and to be with family. It was a hard week for many reasons, but God sustained us physically & emotionally and I will always be thankful we could be there for it. We love you and will miss you, Grandma! It brings me joy to picture you dancing at the feet of Jesus! I will think of you each and every time I make your minestrone soup, cranberry sauce, spaghetti & meatballs, and many other recipes you shared with me! May Sophia develop a love for cooking too as well as Grandma's legacy of sharing good food around the table together!
